Our popular Chair Yoga series is back! Spots are limited.
Are you interested in yoga but find it difficult getting down on a yoga mat? Are you looking to improve your overall strength and functionality or perhaps you’re just searching for something new to try? Join Angela for this 4 week accessible Chair Yoga Series, suitable for everyone, in particular seniors and those with mobility issues.
All participants will be able to stay seated throughout the entire session, or they will have the option to use a chair as support for standing and balance.
Chair Yoga sessions will include:
– Seated Mindfulness practice
– Gentle movement to warm up the joints
– Standing strength and balance postures, which can be done seated or using a chair for support
– Seated chair Yoga postures using props such as straps, blocks, small hand weights and resistance bands to improve flexibility, stability and core/upper body strength
– Some simple Pranayama (Yogic breathing) techniques you can use in your every-day life.
Each session will finish with a guided seated meditation or visualisation
The health benefits of chair Yoga are endless, including:

Classes are to run on Tuesday’s at 5pm-6pm for 4 weeks starting on the 16th April.
Week 1: Tuesday 16th April 5-6pm
Week 2: Tuesday 23rd April 5-6pm
Week 3: Tuesday 30th April 5-6pm
Week 4: Tuesday 7th May 5-6pm
Investment for the 4 classes: $75 ($65 for Seniors or Soul Movement Studio members / $55 for concession card holders). Casual attendance available for $18 pending numbers.
