Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to book in for classes?
Due to limited spaces, we strongly encourage booking classes to avoid missing out. You are welcome to come to the studio but spots will be on a first come first serve basis, with priority going to those who have booked.

It’s my first time attending the Studio, what do I need to bring?
Please bring along a towel and water bottle. If you would like to bring your own yoga mat you are very welcome to, otherwise we have them available for use free of charge. Shoes must be worn for all classes except for SoulYoga & SoulPilates

I’ve just purchased the 2 week trial, when does it start?
The trial starts from the date you attend your first class, not the date you purchased it. If you login to your account you may notice that your trial expires 2 weeks after the date of purchase, however please disregard this. If your trial is not activated within 2 weeks of purchase, the start date will automatically be pushed back by 2 more weeks. This will continue to happen until your trial expires, which is 12 months after the date of purchase.

How busy do the classes get?
It really varies, some classes are busier than others but due to being a boutique studio class sizes are much smaller than a typical gym setting. Numbers can range from 3-20 people per class.

What classes should I start with if I haven’t exercised in a while?
The great thing about our classes is that they can all be modified to suit varying fitness levels and abilities. In saying that, SoulYoga, SoulPilates, or SoulFlow are often good classes to begin with!

I’m not very flexible, will I be able to do SoulYoga
Yoga is great for increasing flexibility, along with many other health benefits. You do not have to be flexible to do yoga, you just have to be willing to give it a go. One of our favourite quotes is “yoga is not about touching your toes, it’s about what you learn on the way down.”

Do you have beginner classes?
From time to time we do run beginner classes, however all of our classes are suitable for beginners through to more regular exercisers. This is due to small class sizes and the ability to give options as required. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions around this.

What do I do if I can no longer attend a class?
To cancel a class please log into your MindBody account via our website or on the MindBody app, go to ‘schedule’ and you will see a list of classes that you’re booked in for, click ‘cancel’. If you cancel before the 2 hour cancellation window your class will be put back on your account, if you cancel within 2 hours of the class starting it is classified as a late cancel and it will be forfeited. For extenuating circumstances please email hello@soulmovementstudio.com.au.

I’ve completed my trial, how do I sign up as a member?
Memberships are only available for purchase through our website, not through the MindBody App. Please go to our Prices page. Alternatively you can also contact us by emailing hello@soulmovementstudio.com.au and we can set your membership up for you!

Can I put my membership on hold?
Yes, to put your membership on hold please email hello@soulmovementstudio.com.au, allowing 7 days notice. Your membership can be put on hold for a minimum of 7 days and it must coincide with your payment cycle. 4 Weeks worth of free holds are available per 12 month period. Any additional weeks will incur a $5/week hold fee in order to maintain current pricing.

When will memberships payments be debited?
Payments come out weekly on the day you sign up if you are on a weekly membership, so if there is a particular day of the week you would like payments to come out we recommend signing up on that day. Alternatively, you can email us to arrange billing on a different day. If you are on a monthly membership option, payments will come out every 30 days.

How do I cancel my membership?
Please email us at hello@soulmovementstudio.com.au to notify us of your wish to cancel. Memberships can be cancelled anytime after 8 weeks, providing us with 7 days notice.

What’s the best option if I can only attend one class per week?
Memberships are ideal if you can do 2 or more classes per week but if you only plan to do one then we recommend either casual classes or purchasing a class pack.

I’m pregnant, can I attend classes?
It depends on a number of factors including how far along into your pregnancy you are, your level of activity prior to becoming pregnant and any pre-existing health conditions.  We recommend emailing or calling us to discuss which classes may be suitable for you. A doctors clearance is also recommended.
